The lines of research in this area aim to train human resources with expertise in the study of energy systems that use alternative and/or conventional energy sources, alone or in association with each other.

The dissertation works have as themes the design and improvement of processes and devices with potential to be used in thermal machine projects, in the best use of energy in production units and in the modeling and simulation of heat generation systems.

Materials:

The focus of this area is the training of professionals who are interested in engaging in research involving the production and characterization of metallic, ceramic, polymeric and composite materials, in order to be employed as better performance alternatives to materials traditionally employed mainly in applications in which mechanical, magnetic and thermal properties are particularly important.
